Scope and who we are

This policy applies to managersclub.com, its account and profile features, and newsletter signup forms shown on the site. It does not govern a third-party site after you follow a link away from Managers Club.

Managers Club is operated by Vidal Graupera, doing business as The VDG Group, in California, United States. In this policy, “Managers Club,” “we,” and “us” refer to that operation.

Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account and profile: name, email address, profile image, and optional company, job title, and social-profile URLs.
  • Newsletter: email address and signup details entered in the beehiiv form.
  • Contact: name, email, ratings, and free-text responses you choose to submit through the linked Google Form.

Sign-in information

If you sign in with Google, GitHub, Facebook, or LinkedIn, we receive the provider account identifier and profile details you authorize. We may store provider tokens needed to maintain that connection, along with session and verification tokens. If you use email sign-in, we send a one-time sign-in link. We do not receive your social provider password.

Information collected automatically

When you visit, our hosting, analytics, and embedded-service providers may receive your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, approximate location, pages viewed, referring page, date and time, interactions, and cookie or similar online identifiers. We receive information from you, your browser or device, sign-in providers, and the service providers listed below.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • deliver, maintain, troubleshoot, and secure the site;
  • create accounts, authenticate users, and display saved profiles;
  • send newsletters you request and manage subscriptions;
  • respond to feedback, questions, and rights requests;
  • understand readership and improve content and navigation;
  • detect abuse, protect users, and enforce our terms; and
  • meet legal obligations and establish or defend legal claims.

Managers Club does not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Where European or UK law applies, our legal bases may include performing a service you request, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the site, consent where requested, and compliance with law.

Cookies and analytics

The site uses essential technologies for sign-in and security and uses Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and site performance. Google Analytics may use identifiers such as _ga and related cookies. Embedded services may also use cookies or browser storage under their own policies.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser, although sign-in and other features may stop working. You can also use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on (opens in a new tab).

Google and some embedded providers may collect information about your activity over time and across different websites, subject to their own privacy notices and settings.

Browser signals: browsers may send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. The current site does not alter its analytics behavior in response to those signals because there is not yet a consistent site-level preference mechanism in place.

Services and embeds

These are the main outside services visible in the current site. Their privacy notices govern their own processing. A service may receive information when its feature loads or when you interact with it.

Analytics, optional sign-in, Google Forms, YouTube, and Google Slides

Usage and device data; account details if you choose Google sign-in; form responses and media interactions when you use those features.

Optional account sign-in

Provider account ID and the basic profile details you authorize, such as name, email, and profile image. Managers Club does not receive your provider password.

Newsletter signup and delivery

Email address, signup details, and newsletter delivery or engagement data. The signup form is hosted by beehiiv.

Podcast, images, and other embedded media

IP address, browser or device details, page context, and interactions with embedded or externally hosted content. YouTube is covered under Google above.

Hosting, request delivery, security, and passwordless sign-in email

Request and device data, security logs, email delivery details, and account or session data needed to operate the site.

Affiliate and sponsored links

The destination receives your visit and may read referral parameters. Purchases happen on the partner’s site; Managers Club does not receive your payment card details.

How information is disclosed

We disclose information only as needed in these circumstances:

  • to hosting, database, email, analytics, authentication, and content providers that help run the site;
  • to a service you deliberately use, such as an embedded player, sign-in provider, Google Form, newsletter form, or external link;
  • when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse, or respond to lawful requests;
  • in connection with a merger, reorganization, financing, or sale of all or part of the operation; or
  • with your direction or consent.

The current site does not include a behavioral-ad network or a payment-card processor. Analytics, embeds, and referral links still involve disclosures to the named providers, so we do not describe that information as “never shared.”

Retention and security

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here. Account and profile information is generally kept while the account is active or until deletion is requested, subject to legal, security, fraud-prevention, and backup needs. Newsletter, analytics, contact-form, email-delivery, and request-log retention also depends on the relevant provider’s settings and operational requirements.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, and we expect providers to protect information they process for us. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed fully secure.

Your choices and rights

You may:

  • change saved profile details from your account;
  • unsubscribe using the link in any newsletter;
  • control cookies through your browser and the tools above; and
  • ask us to access, correct, provide a copy of, or delete personal information associated with you.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, opt out of certain data uses, or complain to your local data-protection authority. California residents may have additional rights under California law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a right that applies to you.

Email legal@managersclub.com with the subject “Privacy request.” We may need to verify your identity and may retain limited information where an exception permits or requires it. Authorized agents should include proof of authority.

Children’s privacy

Managers Club is intended for a professional audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

International processing

Managers Club is based in the United States, and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Those countries may have data-protection rules different from the rules where you live. If international-transfer rules apply to you, contact us for information about relevant safeguards.

Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy as the site, providers, or law changes. We will post the revised version here and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information, we will provide additional notice when appropriate.

Contact us

A privacy question should reach a person, not a maze.

For questions, account deletion, or a privacy-rights request, email us and include enough detail for us to understand the request.
